Become a Deal Eater!

0 Comments 25 August 2010

If you haven’t heard about dealeater yet, you really are behind the times. To sum it up, it is basically a platform where you can get together with people in your city and used this collective power to get great deals at a range of local establishments.

Each day Dealeater offers a new deal and they have been trawling cities negotiating deals at a range of bars, restaurants, cafes, activities, health and beauty stores and much more so you can live the life of a socialite without the credit card bill that goes with it. Simply purchase the coupon at www.dealeater.co.nz , a coupon will be emailed to you, print and redeem at your leisure.

Since launching last year Dealeater has built its subscriber list and has been able to negotiate some excellent deals- usually around the 50% mark. Recently they took a break to change the process and structure of the site and now they are back bogger and better.  The Wellington site launched on Friday August 20th and Christchurch and Auckland will not be far off.

As Daniel Taiaroa, Chief Dealeater put it “University gave me a lesson in the economics of being broke. Dealeater basically allows people to act as a buying syndicate so we can join forces and get some group purchasing power. No vendor is willing to negotiate when you get to the counter, but when 50 of you are buying the same thing- people start to listen”.

The Dealeater iPhone App is available at the App Store, but is currently is the process of being update to run with the new website. But it is easy to keep up to date by signing up to the mailing list through their website, tracking them down on Facebook or following on Twitter.

The Dealeater subscriber list is rapidly expanding, and that means more leverage to get even better deals in your city!
