A great way to promote your brand is through Article Contribution. If you own your business and are under 35 years or if you are a young entrepreneur or professional in your industry then Etch Magazine would like to offer you the opportunity to promote your business using an Etch Contributor Profile. Etch Contributor Profiles enable a user to login and upload articles for publishing in Etch Magazine. All authorized Contributors will have their own Contributor Profile Page that is integrated into the bottom of their articles complete with a blurb, business logo and a link to their website.

Please note that Etch Magazine reserves the right to edit any article content submitted by a contributor and also reserves the right to deny any contributors articles and or remove a persons contributor rights at Etch Magazine’s discretion.

How do I submit an article?

Once you have been confirmed a Contributors Profile it’s as easy as 1-2-3:

1. Login by clicking on the ‘Contributors Login’ button on the Etch Magazine home page using your new Contributor Profile username and password. 

2. Reset your password for extra security, fill in your profile details and upload your business logo or personal image (images are a maximum 125 x 125).

3. Click on ‘add new’ under the ‘posts’ section in the left navigation bar, insert your content and click ‘Submit for Review’.

PLEASE NOTE: You cannot make changes once your post has been submitted so please ensure you have the correct information and images before you ‘submit for review’.

How do I upload an image with an article?

There are a few complications with allowing Contributor Profiles to embed images into their posts; however Etch Magazine will be working on simplifying this process. In the mean time we recommend the following:

Uploading an image to accompany the article:

This is the image used with your article excerpt that gets used as the article teaser when published on the homepage. You can upload this image to accompany the article by scrolling to the bottom of your ‘Add New Post’ page to the section headed ‘Daily Addition Custom Settings’. Once there simply click ‘Browse’, choose the image you require, click ‘open’, and then click the ‘Save’ button. This image will show up as the article teaser image.

Embedding an image into the article:

This is for the more advanced however it is a skill that can be learned. Here images can be embedded within a post using HTML code. If you know how to use HTML code then you can embed an image by clicking on the ‘HTML’ tab located on the top right hand side of the post text box. If you do not know how to use HTML then a good free resource to learn how to do this is:

Alternatively you can email the image to abby@etchmagazine.co.nz with the Title of your post in the Subject Heading and I will upload this into the article within the next three business days.

Once again this is a work in progress that Etch Magazine is working on simplifying in the near future.
